When I was pregnant for the first time, I was informed and I knew what I wanted in terms of an empowering birth with minimal intervention. However, I was also a first time mother with no experience and with natural anxiety about a first birth. I knew it was vital for me to have someone by my side who would support what I wanted while having the expertise to make me feel safe. Rene absolutely provided all of this. 

While the wellbeing of the baby is the bottom line, Rene absolutely cares about the wellbeing of the mother, and that is such an important foundation for a good pregnancy, birth and beginning to a parenting journey. Rene has now supported both of my wonderful home births and both times I felt that I was in truly safe and comforting hands.
